His music recording career commenced in 1998, and he has since released twenty or more albums primarily with Tribe Records, which he has released one album each with Habakkuk Music, Judah Music, and Daywind Music. He has had three albums chart on various Billboard magazine charts, and the most successful one, Fall Like Rain, was released in 2008 by Tribe Records, that placed on four charts. He learned how to play the trumpet, while in his middle and high school band.
His father tried unsuccessfully to get him to work as a mechanic on the pipelines in the gulf because he yearned to fulfill his musical desires for God.
