Director experiment station and professor dairy husbandry, University of Minnesota, 1891-1893. Professor agriculture and director experiment station, 1893-1900, director experiment station and dean of special courses, 1900-1908, Michigan Agricultural College.

President Escola Agricola (“Luiz de Queiroz”), Piracicaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil, 1908-1913. In extension work, Cornell Univercity, since 1913.

Owner and manager of farm.

Appointed dean of College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, 1897. Elected president New Mexico Agricultural College, 1902. Originated special courses and built dairy buildings, both at University of Minnesota and Michigan Agricultural College.
