Career
Meldrum began his career with home town Kilmarnock and also played for Livingston before finishing his playing career at Motherwell. At the start of the 2007-2008 season, Meldrum became goalkeeping coach at the club but he continued to be registered as a player. He then joined Aberdeen as goalkeeping coach on 8 September 2009, replacing Dons legend Jim Leighton.
Meldrum left Aberdeen along with manager Mark McGhee and assistant manager Scott Leitch on 1 December 2010 after a poor run of results which saw Aberdeen lie second bottom of the SPL.
