Colin Bernard McKay, American biomedical engineer. Achievements include characterization of temporal and spatial distribution of blood flow in the microcirculation, viscosity and hematocrit reduction for suspensions of red blood cells with altered cellular deformability in narrow tubes, the determination of oxygen transport to and from blood in artificial capillaries.
