In 2007, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Costume Design and a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for Best Costume Design for The Queen. Boyle was the winner of the best costume design award from the Irish Film and Television Awards for both Angela"s Ashes (1999) and The Iron Lady (2011).
