Constantine Angelos was a Byzantine admiral and panhypersebastos, of Philadelphia, the commander of the Imperial Fleet in Sicily, who married Theodora Komnene in 1122, the youngest daughter of Emperor Alexios I Komnenos and Irene Doukaina.
Career
According to the near-contemporary Niketas Choniates, Constantine was brave, skilled and handsome, but of lowly origin. He was the son of one Manolis Angelos from Philadelphia and had three brothers: Nikolaos Angelos, Michael Angelos and Ioannes Angelos, a military leader in Italy.
Membership
Although they were members of the Angelos family, they often bore other surnames.
