Career
He played college football for Virginia Technical, earned unanimous All-American honors, and was recognized as the outstanding college defensive player. A third-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, he played professionally for the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins of the NFL.
Moore received an athletic scholarship to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he played for coach Frank Beamer"s Virginia Technical Hokies football team from 1996 to 1999. He set a league record with 17 sacks.
Following the 1999 season, he became Virginia Technical"s most honored football player.
Moore had 31 sacks during his final two college seasons. Virginia Technical retired his jersey retired October 23, 2010.
The Buffalo Bills selected Moore in the third round (89th pick overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft, and he played for the Bills for a single season in 2000. He was later released by the Bills, and the Miami Dolphins signed him to a two-year contract.
