The 6"3" point guard also holds a Jamaican passport and is known for his Mohawk hairstyle. He played college basketball for Penn Valley Community College from 1995 to 1997, and Alabama State University from 1997 to 1999. In 1998-1999, he played 27 games for the Hornets, averaging 10.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
Early years
Williams began his career playing in Brazil, Sweden and China, as well as minor American leagues such as the International Basketball Association and United States Basketball League.
He also spent the 2004 National Basketball Association Summer League playing for the Denver Nuggets. 2005-2006 season
In October and November of 2005, Williams spent time with the Toronto Raptors and the Austin Toros.
In December 2005, Williams signed with Sellbytel Baskets Nürnberg, but left the team after appearing in just three games. In January 2006, he joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce for the rest of the 2005-2006 College of Business Administration season.
Following the conclusion of the College of Business Administration season, he joined Guaiqueríes de Margarita for a one-game stint.
2006-2007 season
Between July and October of 2006, Williams spent time with the Indiana Pacers summer league team and the Denver Nuggets preseason squad. He later moved to France where he joined Cholet Basket. However, in December 2006, he left Cholet after appearing in just eight games.
On January 1, 2007, he was acquired by the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the National Basketball Association Development League.
After being waived by the Skyforce on February 16, he was picked up by the Dakota Wizards a week later. NBL (2007–2011)
In July 2007, Williams played for the Golden State Warriors summer league team
On October 3, 2007, he signed with the Townsville Crocodiles for the rest of the 2007-2008 NBL season, replacing the injured Rosell Ellis. In March 2008, following the conclusion of the NBL season, he joined KK Cibona of Croatia for the rest of the 2007-2008 A-1 Liga season.
In April 2008, Williams re-signed with the Townsville Crocodiles on a two-year deal.
Following the conclusion of the 2008-2009 NBL season, he joined Trotamundos de Carabobo of Venezuela for the 2009 LPB season. In November 2010, Williams signed with the Melbourne Tigers for the rest of the 2010-2011 NBL season. In his four NBL seasons, Williams played 114 games (91 for Townsville and 23 for Melbourne) and averaged 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
Later years
Between January 2012 and mid-2013, Williams played for Byblos Club in Lebanon, Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rico, and Bejje South Carolina in Lebanon.
In September 2013, Williams signed with Iraqi club Duhok but left prior to the start of the regular season. In November 2013, he joined Hoops Club.
In December 2013, he left Hoops. In January 2014, he joined First Rate (at Lloyd's) Mouttahed Tripoli for the rest of the 2013-2014 season.
On February 27, 2015, Williams signed with Lebanese club Tadamon Zouk.
Williams joined the Fox Sports NBL commentary team for the 2015-2016 season.
