Studied at Somerville College, Oxford. Lee and Pembertons, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London. Bachelor of Civil Law,Examination,Oxford,1893.
Obtained special privileges, Lincoln’s Inn, London, 1903. Conceived the idea of a man of business of her own sex for the secluded women of India. Tindingthe work worth while, she propounded in 1902 a scheme, to the India Office, for connecting such Lady Counsel with the Provincial Executive Governments of India.
In 1904, in pursuance of this scheme, appointed by the Government of Bengal to the position she now holds. Kaisir-i-Hind Gold Medal, 1909.
