C. Admitted to Bar, 1891. Assistant Corporation Counsel. Elected to State Assembly, 1898-1899.
Resigned to accept appointment as Assistant, in Diet. Atty’s. office, 02; Aide and Adviser to Municipal Court Commission Drafting Municipal Court Act or Code and subsequently annotated and published the same. Appointed Deputy Attorney General in gen. charge of matters arising in or affecting New York City, 1904.
Appointed Assistant Corporation Counsel, 1905. Charge of Tort Division., 1912. Appointed Justice of the Court of Special Sessions for 1912-1922.
Represented the Court of Special Sessions, 1915. On the establishment of the Children's Court, as a separate branch of the Court of Special Sessions, City of New York, 5 years. Served as Judge of Children's Court.
Elected Judge of Court of General Sessions by unprecedented majority. At present Chairman of Legislative Committee of Judges of the Court of General Sessions and Chairman of the Probation Committee of Judges of Court of General Sessions. Chairman of Committee on Drug Evil of New York State Association of Justices and Magistrates.
Author of various magazine articles. Journal of Criminal Law and Criminal Law and Criminology. Bulletins of New York Academy, of Medical Department of Health of City of New York North American Review.
