Career

Debut as John Sorel in world premiere of The Consul (Menotti) 1950. Debut with New York City Opera as Germont in Louisiana Traviata 1953, at Louisiana Scala, Milan, as Charles V in Ernani 1959, at Metropolitan Opera, New York in title-role of Rigoletto 1959. Has appeared in leading opera houses of Europe, United States of America, South. America.

President American Guild of Musical Artists 1971-1977.

Alumnus of Year, Hartt School of Music 1976.
