Career
In 2009, despite Tairi not being in the New South Wales Swifts squad, Tairi was a temporary replacement player for Vanessa Ware who suffered an injury and played in one Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Championship match in 2009. In 2010, Tairi was officially one of the twelve squad members for the New South Wales Swifts. In the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Championship season, while Vanessa Ware was injured (due to back injury in the early matches and suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament in the later matches), Tairi played at either Wing Attack or Centre positions.
In 2011, Tairi pushed to the Swifts starting seven.
Late in the season, it was confirmed that Tairi would be signing with New Zealand club the Southern Steel for the 2012.
