Craig Mindrum received a B.A. from Indiana University. For his Masters work, he studied at both Yale University and Indiana University. He then earned a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
Craig began his career with the Information Technology division of a major consulting organization. He became an independent consultant while completing his Ph.D. He then formed Mindrum Strategy and Communications, a firm specializing in strategic business messaging and thought leaderhip.
He is best known for reinterpreting traditional Christianity to accord with more defensible and helpful metaphysical beliefs about the nature of God and the universe. He finds insights from traditional Taoism to be helpful in this regard and has completed a translation of the Tao te Ching, an ancient Taoist text.
Following an early education in more conservative politics, Craig became dismayed by income/social inequality issues and disparities in power between average citizens and wealthy, politically connected individuals. He is passionate about issues related to poverty, education and climate change.
The world is currently in danger due to the resurgence of nationalistic beliefs. Combined with the continued proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, this can only be threatening to human civilization. Human-caused climate change is also a long-term threat. Ingenuity, cooperation and foresight can provide us with the tools to handle these challenges. Now we also need the courage.
