He played college football at Georgia Technical and the University of Louisville, and earned All-American honors. He played professionally for the NFL"s Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys. As a junior he tallied 80 tackles and 7 sacks.
He accepted a scholarship from the University of Louisville to play defensive tackle.
In 1995, he transferred Georgia Technical University, where he was converted to the Center position. He became a starter as a junior and received All-American honors as a senior.

He was waived August 26, 2000, and signed to the practice squad.
