Career
Christian was a great-great-grandson of George III of the United Kingdom (1738–1820) and Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744–1818). Christian developed appendicitis which was not diagnosed and left untreated and the condition eventually developed into peritonitis. The prince died from the peritonitis at the age of 16 at the Hanover family"s residence in Gmunden.
