This casebook provides detailed information on major U.S. commercial statutes and important international conventions that provide uniform law for the international sale of goods. The casebook provides the tools for fast, easy, on-point research. It includes selected cases designed to illustrate the development of a body of law on a particular subject. Text and explanatory materials designed for law study accompany the cases. This edition, like its predecessors, stresses two aspects of sales and sale law: sellers' fundamental obligations regarding the quality of and title to the goods, and the manifold problems that arise in connection with performance of sales transactions by both parties. These are the subjects that give rise to most of the difficulties that lead to litigation today. The principal cases were carefully selected for their commercial significance.

Career
He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952, and his Bachelor of Laws in 1956. He served as the editor-in-chief of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review from 1955 to 1956, and then worked as a law clerk to United States Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren from 1956 to 1957. He has represented Pennsylvania for 25 years in the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, and is chair of the Conference"s Committee on International Legal Developments.
He also participated in the recent revision of the Uniform Commercial Code.
His recent work has focused on international commercial law, including aspects of the World Trade Organization"s operations.
