Career
He was born on 17 May 1918 and educated at Codrington College, Barbados and ordained in 1945. His first post was as a Curate in Street Vincent after which he held incumbencies in Barbados. His last appointment before elevation to the Episcopate saw him returning to Street Vincent as Sub-Dean of its cathedral.
