Career
Elected State Senator for 31 District, Buncombe Company, 1928-1929 (first Republican Senator from Buncombe Company in 32 years). Served as Minority Leader in Senate of 1929 Session of General Assembly of North Carolina Elected Judge. General Company Court by Company Commnr8. under special act, for term ending 1932.
