Mayor of Florence, 1910-1912. Served with Young Men's Christian Association in France. Chief Secretary, Young Men's Christian Association, Army of Occupation, during World War.

Elected Representative, Landerdale Company, 1922, 1926. Chairman, Ways and Means Committee.
