D. P. Banerjee

Background

Banerjee D.P. was born on July 3, 1903, in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, in southern Asia.

Education

Banerjee D.P studied at Dacca University and graduated from it, receving in 1927 M.A. degree, and in 1941 obtained D.Sc.

Career

Banerjee D.P. worked as a head of mathematics department at the Dacca University,later at Poona University and Agra University. His last job was of a professor and head of mathematics department at S.V. University in Tirupati. He was a member of London and American Mathematical Societies.

Achievements

• Wrote about 50 articles and research papers and mathematical reviews.
