D'Antion was born to Anita Ford in Riverside, California but relocated with his family to Los Angeles when he was only three years old.

By the time McGuire graduated he had attended four different high schools because of the presence of gang violence.
He is also the brother of rapper Lil Zane. He attended Loyola High School in Los Angeles, California and Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, Kansas where he finished his last years of high school. McGuire also attended Crenshaw High School and Eisenhower High where he played basketball and earned a basketball scholarship to Appalachian State University.
Despite the opportunity to play Division II basketball he decided to immediately pursue a career in music. Since launching his career in music he has had two singles in California: "Move It" and "Anniversary", which were played in schools and showcases but were never released to the general public. Since this collaboration began he has been featured in three magazines.
