Tsai, Dah-Shyang was born on March 8, 1955 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Son of Chun-Min Tsai and Jui-Chu Pan.

Education

Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, 1977. MChemE, National Taiwan University, Taipei, 1979. The Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering, University Notre Dame, 1985.

Career

Associate professor National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, 1985—1991, professor, since 1991, director materials research center, 1993—1996, chairman department chemical engineering, since 2001. Visiting scholar American Telephone & Telegraph Company Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, New Jersey, 1988—1989.
