Dale Kemp is an Australian lawyer based in Sydney, New South Wales. He was admitted to the bar in New South Wales in 1981 after studying at Macquarie University, and he later worked as a partner with the Revisers of the France Law Digest.
Education
Kemp studied at Macquarie University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. The university was established in 1964 by the New South Wales Government through the Macquarie University Act, and it was named after Governor Lachlan Macquarie. It was the third university to be established in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Macquarie was founded as a deliberate departure from older university models, with a stated aim of working closely with industry. Its law school, Macquarie Law School, was established in 1972 as Sydney's third law school, placing the university among the city's later centers of legal education.

Martindale-Hubbell, a company associated with legal reference publishing, traces its origins to 1868, when James B. Martindale published his first legal directory. The directory merged with Hubbell's Legal Directory in 1931, and the company also published the Martindale-Hubbell Law Digest, a summary of laws around the world. Law digests of this kind gave practitioners concise access to legal systems beyond their own jurisdictions.
