Background
She appeared in her first role in the play Night Storm (Rina), Habima, directed by her father. Dalia friedland was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1935 to parents who were both celebrated actors and amongst the founders of Israel"s "Habima" National Theater, Zvi Friedland and Chana Hendler.
Career
Early years After completing two years of military service she pursuer her theatrical studies at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London along with Judi Dench, Vanessa Redgrave and Anna Cropper. Dalia"s biographical one-women show, "Born to the ", is performed in Israel, The United States, Canada and Russia in Hebrew, English, and Russian, respectively. She was appointed to perform her one-women show by the Israeli Ministry representing Israel in an International Jewish Festival in Russia.
Dalia is renowned in Israel for her performances and records for children, upon which at least two generations grew up.
Among them: "Shmulik-Hedgehog" (shmoolikipod), "Shubi the Teddy Bear" (Shubi Dubi) by Gideon Koren, Babar the Elephant, barbapapa, Lady and the Tramp and many others/. Her children"s album and performance, "Bubble Gum Seeds", Toured (in English) for the Jewish National Fund in Canada and for the United Jewish Appeal in the United States.
