Privately; under Astafieva and appeared with Legat Ballet Group 1923. Under Enrico Cecchetti and toured with the company until Diaghilev’s death in 1929 (Song of a Nightingale created for her).
Career
Toured with the company until Diaghilev’s death in 1929 (Song of a Nightingale created for her). Prima Ballerina, Rambert Club 1931-1934. First Prima Ballerina of Vic-Wells (now the Royal Ballet) 1933-1935.
Formed Markova-Dolin Ballet Company 1935 and toured United Kingdom till 1938.
With Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo 1938-1941. And Ballet Theatre 1941-1944.
Toured North and Central America with Markova-Dolin group 1944-1945. Many guest appearances 1946-1947.
Concerts with Dolin in United States of America, Far East and South Africa 1947-1949.
Formed Festival Ballet company with Dolin 1950-1952. Guest artist with Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires 1952, Sadler’s Wells, Ballet Theatre, Marquis de Cuevas Ballet and Metropolitan Opera 1953. Royal Winnipeg Ballet 1953.
With de Cuevas Ballet in London 1954.
With Royal Danish Ballet 1955. Scala Milan, Municipal Theatre Rio de Janeiro 1956.
Royal Ballet Covent Garden 1957. Italian Opera Season, Drury Lane, Festival Ballet Tour 1958, and Season 1959.
