Career
As a bass player, Keyes has performed alongside Alanis Morissette, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Mike Flowers Pops, Turin Brakes, Matt Willis, Taylor Hawkins from the "Foo Fighters". In 2001, Keyes and Dickinson left Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) to start their own music school in Brighton with 2 other directors called The Brighton Institute of Modern Music. Over the years to follow BIMM would churn out 27 top 40 charting acts (to date) including bands like The Kooks, Rooster, The Ordinary Boys, The Faders, Beth Rowley, The Ghost of a Thousand, Kate Walsh and The Maccabees.
BIMM and Keyes have been awarded several business awards and also are in the Guinness Book of World Records for "The loudest guitar amp" which they hold in association with Punk band "Gallows"
In 2006, Keyes teamed up with former Skunk Anansie axe-man Ace on the award winning radio show The Damo and Ace Show on Juice 107.2 in Brighton.
The 3-hour nightly show promotes local unsigned bands as well as what"s new in the world of rock, indie, metal and alternative music In 2007 the duo picked up an award for "The best new radio show" at the radio awards.
