Since the beginning of the 2015 season, McKenzie has been contracted to the Super Rugby Chiefs. McKenzie represented New Zealand Under-20 during the 2014 Institutional Review Board Junior World Championship scoring 1 try, 7 conversions and 2 penalties in 5 games.
