A third generation Italian Canadian, Iannuzzi was born in Montreal.
He moved to Toronto in 1954 and founded the Italian-Canadian newspaper Corriere Canadese. He produced multilingual television programs for Toronto"s Citytv from 1972 to 1979 and in 1979, he launched the world"s first multilingual television station, CFMT-television, initially broadcasting in 24 languages. In 1989, he was awarded the Order of Ontario.
Through his ownership of Multimedia Nova Corporation he owned and published the following community newspapers throughout the Greater Toronto Area and in Quebec:
