Poliziani is not the same individual who was the interim head coach of the Yale Bulldogs during the 1993-1994 season, while regular head coach Tim Taylor coached the United States Olympic Team. That Dan Poliziani was born on March 5, 1959, and played college hockey for Taylor at Yale ().
