Daniel Trevor Bircher, baritone, performs as a concert soloist, recitalist and in opera. In recent work with youth & collegiate artists, Mr. Bircher has been a stage director for theatre and opera, conducted musicals and opera/opera scenes productions, and conducted choirs.
Mr. Bircher has performed as a soloist or in an opera role with companies including the Orchestra Sinfonico di Milano Giuseppi Verdi in Milano, Italy, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra New England, Yale Opera, Abilene Opera Association, ACU Opera Theatre, Fairfield County Chorale, Brenham Choral Society, Sacred Heart University Chorus, Blinn College Choirs, Bridgeport United Congregational Church, and Abilene Classical Chorus.
Opera roles include “Die lustige Witwe” (Danilo), “Orpheé auf Enfers” (John Styx), “Les Mamelles de Tiresias” (Le Directeur), “Gianni Schicci” (Marco), “L’Enfant Prodigue” (Siméon), “Midsummer Nights’ Dream” (Demetrius), “Madama Butterfly” (Il Bonzo), “La Traviata” (Dr. Grenvil), “The Devil and Daniel Webster” (Daniel Webster), “Signor Deluso” (Signor Deluso), “The Consul” (Secret Police Agent), “Trial by Jury” (Foreman of the Jury), “The Bartered Bride” (Kecal), “Amahl and the Night Visitors” (Balthazar).
Concert roles include Faure's "Requiem" (Baritone Soloist), "Carmina Burana" (Baritone Soloist), Elijah (Elijah), Messiah (Bass Soloist), Dvorak’s “Te Deum” (Bass Soloist), Rutter’s “Mass of the Children” (Baritone Soloist), Vaughan Williams’ “Five Mystical Songs” (Baritone Soloist).
Mr. Bircher has performed on recording projects and on projects for radio and television. Awards include the Francesco & Hilda Riggio Award - Metropolitan Opera Auditions.
Mr. Bircher has enjoyed working with college and youth artists judging events, as a voice teacher and in academic music and/or theatre positions with the Center Stage Dance Company, Blinn College, York College, and Sacred Heart University.
