Second Lieutenant 21st Infantry, 1873, First lieutenant, 1877. captain, 1888. major, 1899. Lieutenant-colonel 24th Infantry, 1901, colonel 7th Infantry, 1903. retired 1915.

Membership

Served in Nez Perce Shoshone and Sioux Indian campaigns, and Spanish-American War and Philippine insurrection.
