He competed at the 1990 European Championships without reaching the final.
Achievements
He became Bulgarian champion in 1989, and Bulgarian indoor champion in 1989, 1990 and 1993. He won the bronze medal at the 1993 World Indoor Championships, but was disqualified for a doping offense. His personal best jump was 8.03 metres, achieved in July 1992 in Sofia.
