He studied at Chelsea College of Fine Arts, Great Britain, he left after a year to fully devote himself to his own creation.
He is a neo-expressionist artist and a social critic. Jouseff"s parents have their roots in Palestine, and belonged to the Christian minority in the country before they immigrated to Sweden in 1967 to then settle in Skövde. In Daniel Jouseffs world, imagery often return characters from popular culture and childhood comic books
Not infrequently illustrated conflicts and contradictions between the classic hero and villain, the latter often depicted as the deviant, dark and outcasts.
The villain becomes a sort of commentary on how Jouseff always identified himself with the other, and how Western popular culture through its distinct imagery defined ideas of what is good and evil is portrayed. As a social critics, he use social commentary in his art, as well as attacks on power structures and systems of racism.
Daniel Jouseff"s work revolves around power in a world run by money, a world where men in power dominates. Pornography, the Middle East and Sweden are also themes that he naturally returning to, where he also lets his recurrent character, the Joker, move freely.
