Education
McGarry attended Calvary Christian Academy and played two years of college soccer at Arcadia University before transferring to Liberty University as a junior.
At Arcadia University, McGarry was selected to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (Public Affairs Committee) First Team during both his freshman and sophomore seasons in 2004 and 2005. He also was named to the regional All-America team both seasons. He helped Arcadia win the Public Affairs Committee title and reach the third round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Tournament as a freshman.
As a sophomore, he started 17 of his 18 games and produced eight goals and two assists for 18 points.
He led Arcadia to a 4-0 victory in the championship game of the 2005 Cialella Soccer Classic.
At Liberty University, McGarry completed his collegiate career, earning All-Big South honors both seasons and helping the Flames win a conference championship.
