Formosa, Daniel John was born on July 16, 1953 in Jersey City. Son of Daniel Joseph and Claire (Ettore) Formosa.


Bachelor in Industrial Design, Syracuse University, 1976. Master of Arts in Ergonomics and Biomechanics, New York University, 1986.


Designer Eliot Noyes Associates, New Canaan, Connecticut, 1976-1977, Mauro Associates, New York City, 1977-1980. Founding partner Smart Design Inc., 1980-1989. Private practice consultant Montvale, New Jersey, since 1989.
