Clerk in drug store, later clothing store, later C.,B.&Q. Railway Company, 1892-1909. With F. D. Wead, Omaha, Nebraska, 1909-1910. Engaged in farm rentals, ranching and the raising of livestock since 1910.

Member National Live Stock and Meat Board, Chamber of Commerce. Director Nebraska Turkey Federation. Named as one of two men from Nebraska to serve on the policy committee of the Republican Party, 1937.
