Bodini received a Master of Arts degree in engineering from the University of Rome in 1968. Two years later he earned his Master of Arts degree in architecture. In 1972, Daniele was given a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School.
Bodini began his career as an assistant professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Rome in 1968 and had held the position for two years. In 1973, he was appointed a trainee at Blyth, Eastman Dillon & Co.
In 1978, Daniele founded the American Continental Properties, Inc. and became its executive president. In 1981, he took the position of a president at that company. Nowadays Bodini is a chairman emeritus at American Continental Properties, Inc. In addition, Daniele held the position of an ambassador of the Republic of San Marino to the United Nations from 2005 to 2016.
Bodini is a chairman of the American-Italian Cancer Foundation, the Foundation for Italian Art & Culture and rehab center San Patrignano USA. He is a member of the boards of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Council for the United States and Italy, and the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation USA.
On June 9, 1979 Daniele Bodini married Toni Allen Kramer, with whom he later divorced. They have a daughter.
