Mamman was born on March 12, 1962 in Yelwa, Kachia, Nigeria; the son of Mamman and Abingel (Umaru) Moude.

Mamman received a diploma from Federal Polytechnic University in Bida in 1982. Four years later he was given a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Sokoto in Nigeria. Also in 1994 Danladi earned his Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
Mamman began his career as an assistant chemist at Ballarpur Glass Ltd., in 1982 and held it for a year. In 1987, he took a position of a factory chemist at the same company. Two years later Danladi became a research officer at National Research Institute For Chemical Technology and held the position until 1993.
Then in 1994 he moved to the United Kingdom and became a research scientist at Roemex Ltd. Also Mamman has been an applied chemist at the University of Strathclyde, since 1994.
Mamman was a president of Ikulu Club 88 from 1989 to 1992 in Kaduna. He is a member of Royal Society of Chemistry, National Association Corrosion Engineers and New York Academy of Sciences.
Danladi is married to Grace Mamman.
