Career
He has previously played for Bishop Auckland and Darlington. He now has jobs doing plumbing and steelworks. In June 2012 he rejoined Darlington, however on 25 June 2012 his registration was changed to the new club Darlington 1883. in September 2012 he returned to Newton AycliffeOn 12 January 2015, Mellanby was appointed Manager of Northern League Division 2 Club Northallerton Town after being appointed assistant in November 2014.
