Career
1990s
A Townsville junior, Moore"s early career was played in the back row. After spending the rest of the 1991 and all of 1992 playing in Reserve Grade, he was switched to the centres at the start of the 1993 NSWRFL season and became a regular first grader. Moore"s good form for the Sea Eagles during 15 game undefeated run to start the 1995 season (and the Australian Rugby League"s decision not to select Super League (SL) aligned players during the Super League, saw him gain State of Origin selection in the centres for Queensland.
He played in all three games of the 1995 series, and earned himself a place in the Australian Test team as a reserve for the First Test of the Transport-Tasman series against New Zealand at Language Park.
He then took his place in the centres in the Second Test at the Sydney Football Stadium following the suspension of Manly team-mate Terry Hill in a club match. Later that year, Moore played in the centres in the Manly side which contested and lost the 1995 Grand Final (the last ever Winfield Cup 4-17 to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
At the end of the season Moore was one of eight Manly players chosen in Australia"s World Cup squad for the tournament to be played in England and Wales. He made just one tournament appearance - a two-try effort in the 86-0 drubbing of South Africa in Gateshead.
With SL players eligible for selection in 1996, Moore missed a place in the Queensland team for the 1996 State of Origin series.
He was selected at state level again in the 1997 State of Origin series when he played in Game I on the wing. The 1997 season ended with a crunch with a last-minute loss to Newcastle Knights in the Grand Final, thanks to a try by Knights winger Darren Albert. Moore moved to Europe"s Super League to play for English club Wigan Warriors in 1998, appearing at centre in their 1998 Super League Grand Final victory over Leeds Rhinos.
2000s
Moore shifted to the London Broncos for 2000"s Super League V. His final year was the 2001 NRL season in which he played two games for the North Queensland Cowboys.
