Background
He grew up in Mashhad and started performing in plays at the age of 12.

At the age of 26, he started working for the Ministry of Art and Culture. In the meantime, is a Crystal-Simorgh winning Iranian actor. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology from Mashhad University in 1972, and a Master of Arts in theatre and cinema.
He has played different roles ever since, most of which might be considered historical, as well as roles of drama characters.
