Career
He was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 9th round (271st overall) of the 1999 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Darrell is the son of Don Hay, who is the coach of the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. Hay played with BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czechoslovakian Extraliga during the 2010-2011 Czechoslovakian Extraliga season.
