Darren Keefe Daye is a retired American professional basketball player.
Education
The 6"8", 220 lb guard-forward played high-school basketball for John F. Kennedy High School in the Granada Hills district of Los Angeles and attended University of California, Los Los Angeles Daye was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 3rd round (57th overall) of the 1983 National Basketball Association Draft.
Career
Daye was the Most Valuable Player of the 1979 McDonald"s All-American Game. Playing for the West team, Daye recorded a double-double, 22 points and 14 rebounds. lieutenant was not enough — the West lost by one point.
Daye played in five National Basketball Association seasons from 1983-1988 for the Bullets, Chicago Bulls, and Boston Celtics.
Daye"s season with the Celtics in 1987-1988 was his final in the National Basketball Association. He later played overseas in Italy, France and Israel before he retired in 1997.
