Career
Turcotte played with several teams in a National Hockey League (National Hockey League) career that spanned twelve seasons. He is the former head coach of the Team United States of America inline hockey team Turcotte was drafted in the 1986 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the New York Rangers.
He was selected in the sixth round, number 114 overall.
After finishing his career with the Nashville Predators Turcotte stayed in middle Tennessee and founded the Southern Ice Lightning American Automobile Association Midget traveling team in Brentwood, Tennessee. Turcotte coached the Abitibi Eskimos (A Junior A Tier II team) of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) in 2005-2006.
Foreign the 2006-2007 season, Turcotte returned to North Bay and coached another NOJHL team, the North Bay Skyhawks. Darren Turcotte is also the current coach of the Nipissing University Lakers hockey team in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA).
Son Devan played as a forward with the North Bay Trappers, in his second year as a 19-year-old.
