2012 Scott was unopposed for the September 11, 2012 Democratic Primary, and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 5,231 votes (626%) against Republican nominee Samuel Chick. 2008 Scott was unopposed for the District 31 September 9, 2008 Democratic Primary, and won the November 4, 2008 General election with 4,372 votes (526%) against incumbent Republican Representative Nancy Wagner, who had held the seat since 2001. 2010 Scott was unopposed for the September 17, 2010 Democratic Primary, and won the November 2, 2010 General election with 3,487 votes (591%) against Republican nominee Ronald Smith.
