She is the author of the book "Foodist: Using Real Food and Real Science to Lose Weight Without Dieting", () published by HarperOne in May, 2013. Rose received a Doctor of Philosophy in neuroscience from University of California, San Francisco in 2010 and has a Bachelor of Arts from University of California Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in neurobiology. She currently resides in San Francisco, California.
