Career
He was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 6th round (72nd overall) of the 1970 National Hockey League Amateur Draft. On September 20, 1970, Gilmour was signed to a professional contract by the Vancouver Canucks who then dispatched him to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans. He did not play a single game for the Canucks.
