His voice over specialties include Movie and Game Trailers, Network Promos, Radio, Television, and Online Commercials, Narration and Animation. McRae is currently the network promo and imaging voice for the national networks Travel and Escape (T&East) and Smithsonian Channel (Canada). He is also the voice of SCENE Card and is heard nationally in Cineplex Entertainment theaters during the pre-show presentation.
SCENE is the second largest Canadian Loyalty Program with over 5 million members.
McRae teaches a one day introductory workshop into the world of professional voice over at LIFT in Toronto several times a year. McRae started his career an on camera actor appearing in bit parts in docudramas that eventually led to a successful career in voice overs.
From the dark and creepy movie trailer voice, to the guy next door, to fun and wacky cartoon characters, McRae"s voice and vocal versatility has been heard across North America and around the world in thousands of movie and game trailers, network promos, radio and television commercials, IVR"s, narration and animation. McRae is also a filmmaker who creates original narratives and fan films.
McRae writes, directs, shoots, produces and edits all of his productions. All of his fan films pay tribute to the John Carpenter classic horror film Halloween (1978 film). McRae also plays the main antagonist Michael Myers in every one of the films.
