Career
Hudson was drafted in 1978 by the Detroit Tigers and joined the major league team as a reliever in 1981. In 1983 he was traded to the Saint Louis Cardinals for Doug Bair. Two years later in 1985 he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies for Bill Campbell and Iván DeJesúson
