Career
Christy was a highly successful ruckman and centre half-forward who was one of the founders of football in Western Australia. He began his career with Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football Association from 1890 until 1895. He became a driving force in establishing football in Western Australia, playing senior football for 16 years in the west.
In 1996 Christy was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
In 2004 he was inducted to the Washington Football Hall of Fame.
